What is it?

A pentomino (rhymes with domino) is a shape created by joining five equal size squares at their edges.

There are twelve possible combinations, shown here assembled into a rectangle.There are several thousand ways to assemble these 12 pieces into rectangles; but at first it can be challenging to find even one!
